I'm trying to do recolors of the debug Newspaper Stand.
I did this using the tutorial on the site for debug objects. All went well. Shows up in game as anticipated.
If I add a new swatch & import a new texture, the texture overrides all other textures. So all swatches will use the same texture. If I look in Warehouse, I can see the new Object Catalog line but only one DST Image line.
Wondering if it's because it's a debug item and has special juju.
I've had this happen with a rug before and just chose a different rug to work with.
I've tried looking for a solution but have come up with nada. I've used studio for a few years but I only recolor objects/cas. Thanks in advance for the help. strenee

Not a really helpful comment here other than to say I share your pain. I've abandoned several recolors of debug books because you open them up and there's absolutely no texture to them at all, they're just blank white, and can't be manipulated, yet show with a texture in the catalog. Weirdness seems to go hand in hand with many debug items.

Hi! I've had the same issue trying to recolour one of Sandy's Ikea Expedit objects (can't remember which one, but doesn't matter) I am no modder, and I absolutely am not saying this is the right way to go about it. I might go as far as to say that it won't work if your object is anything more than a deco object. That being said, what I did was export the mesh and warehouse info of the object I wanted to recolour, as well as the textures, shadows, etc. Basically everything. Then go to make a new object (I chose a wall shelf, don't know if it matters), swap out its mesh with the one I exported, same for textures, warehouse, etc. Worked for me, although I never figured out the actual problem! Good luck
EDIT!!!!
I found a muuuuuch easier way (that works with CC), so I hope it can work for you too:
Put your saved, one-swatch .package in your documents>sims 4>mods folder and in the "Recolorables" folder in your Sims 4 Studio directory
Open S4Studio, and select Object > Selective clone. Set "content" box to "custom". The newstand should be in there.
Save it as a brand new package, and try importing a new texture, see if that's done it (I hope so!)
