I've been helping someone at the Sims forum with giving an iceskating rink an invisible swatch and I've run into some issues...naturally. I can't do anything, anything at all, to the shadow mesh or the sim floats in the air while skating. However, I'm seeing some shadows in-game and I'm not sure what's causing them. It might be the shadow mesh, but might not. There's a strange texture and I have no idea what it is. I'm hoping someone can help.
Here's what happens if I do anything to the shadow mesh.
Here's an image of the odd shadows I'm seeing. Note that it's not present in my previous screenshot, which makes me think it's the shadow mesh.
And here's the mysterious image I'm wondering about.
Edit: Turns out that image is called "snow map." Not sure exactly what it's for other than snow, obviously.
2nd Edit: I didn't read through this tutorial thoroughly but it looks like a snow map is used to dictate where and to what degree snow accumulates on an object. Changing this mask isn't going to help me with my issue, obviously. sims4studio.com/thread/19318/tutorial-create-snow-masks-seasons
