Hello! I'm pretty new to modding in general, but I've managed to make a few functioning CAS parts. However, I'm having issues with the textures. I turned the basegame large hoop mesh into two septum piercings with different shapes. I'm currently using the exported texture from the earrings. I haven't modified the placement, so if I use earrings with the piercing, the earrings get covered with the piercing texture. I've tried to mess with the UV maps in Blender, but I can't really figure it out, even though I've looked up tutorials. I'm not sure exactly how to work the unwrapping stuff and where to put it on the texture map, if that makes sense. Sorry if this is a common question or a common sense solution, I'm just new to it all. I checked the common problems page and didn't see this question. I will also confess that I'm not all that familiar with blender terminology, so I apologize if I got anything wrong. (Btw, I know the second mesh is super ugly, but it looks okay in game, and that's what matters to me 😂) Here are the blend files for the items (one: drive.google.com/file/d/1CseK7UjKcp5XHjtmji1jKClSKzdHwtbD) (two: drive.google.com/file/d/1WCfYeOhYoz6o5_yH_LPlNF0kbtegWLqr) and here is one swatch of the texture i'm using: drive.google.com/file/d/1hoG9zdFOrCpDIZToMdA9__nda09mWHLY

None of the links work (they all link back to this thread). You'll need to put the uv map in a space not used by the earrings you want to use. This is the standard uv map layout for cas items; eek, i didn't realize. i couldn't get the in-text links to work for some reason so i just linked them directly. i'm still not sure how to get the uv map itself, i exported the uv layout for one of my meshes but i'm not sure where to put it, if that makes sense? i don't know how to move the placement, if i do that in an image or in blender

In blender, open the piercing mesh, go into edit mode. Click on the left window (where the uv map is) and drag it wider until you see this little icon, then click on said icon. A bunch of black dots & grey lines should pop up. Then press A (everything should turn orange), and press G to move the map. You can also press ALT + O to import the template uv map and move the uv mapping into place.

You will then have to update your textures so that they match the new location of your mapping.
