I was organizing my projects folder and found an old one I didn't finish. I created an "electric grill", so the fire effect looks weird with it. Is it possible to remove this effect? Maybe replace with another one? Once I found a custom cooktop, and I think it still had the fire effect. So I'm not really sure if it's possible. Thanks.

Would it be possible to delete the VFX slot for the fire or would that cause errors when the game can't find a slot to play the effect in?

Package please xD It's likely in the tuning though It's the "Carbonette Charcoal Grill". I always try to edit the EA object first to see if it'll work hah The package is here. Edit: It's the "Grill 2" here.

Oh, I deleted this (just the "FX" one): Now the fire effect is gone. But the "lack of cooking effect" also looks weird (cause there isn't a constant "frying" sound). I wish I could replace the fire effect with a cooking animation, like the frying pan for example "s40_obj_food_frypan_smoke" or another steam one. Edit: Maybe the "gp03_obj_chef_cooking_smoke" would suit it better since it has a sound.

Unfortunately it's in the animations, which would be more pain than it's worth to replace that way, unless you did an override which would then break the regular grills. You can maybe create a custom bone/slot called "frying FX" or something in the same spot, then add an object state that adds the frying VFX you want when the cooking starts, but I'm not sure how you'd get the timing down without doing a lot more. Either way it sounds like a lot of work, so up to you.

It's too much work, and I'm still a beginner hah The grill without the "burning/frying" sound looks boring. But I guess the fire on an electric grill would look even weirder. I think I'll just remove the effect. As long as it cooks the food, it's fine hah Thanks for answering
