I installed blender 2.78, exported a mesh with it, but it looked like this: I had 2.7 and 2.76 before and they worked, I don't know what could be the problem. edit:* I changed Blender path in s4s * I can open a mesh in 2.78 that I created in 2.76, but it looks like I can't export with .78

Hi. In s4s setting change Blender path to 2.78. Close both s4s and Blender. Export the mesh again. Open it. If it won’t work, install 2.76 and repeat everything above

I did the settings, but it's still the same. Isn't there something else that I could try to have 2.78 work?

Also I can open a mesh in 2.78 that I created in 2.76, but it looks like I can't export with .78.

s4s does not always support 2.77 - 2.79.
You can try this but it probably wont help Make sure your Blender path looks like this: _:\____\Blender 2.78\blender.exe. Save, restart s4s and blender. If this thing won't appear, then go to File - User preferences, click on Install from file button, navigate to _:\______\Sims4Studio\Blender\Scripts\, and choose io_sims.py, click on Install from file, close and open Blender and s4s again. You can work in them and use 2.76 as a bridge

It looks like this, but still doesn't show the mesh and the sim What do you mean by using 2.76 as a bridge? If I change Blender path to 2.76 and use that to export, but I do the editing in .78, then will it work without bugs?

Wait, if you have S4Studio CAS Tools, it is supported. Do you see the model in 2.76? If no, make sure your version of s4s and the game are the latest. Make sure the game path is set to \The Sims\. Add s4s, the folder and .exe files, to exceptions in your antivirus If yes, re-install 2,78.
All of that said, there is no significant difference in 2.76 and 2.78. You do not need 2,78 at all

I can see the model in 2.76 but not in 2.78. I reinstalled it but it didn't help, then I tried the portable version, but it's still the same. Now I have the portable version both of them. 2.76 works perfectly as far as I can see, with the same settings, but on the other the mesh and the model don't appear.
I believe that they are almost the same, but I wanted to try the newer, and it's a little bit irritating, that I have no idea, why it doesn't work. :/ but well, at least .76 works

It must be a matter of your computer not liking 2.78 ( or something else ) rather than s4s compatibility. If it was the latter, there would be no s4studio tools but the model would be present

I use Blender 2.78c and its always been ok. I think it's better than 2.76 due there are more editing options and add ons, but it's a purely personal view. 2.78 has been updated 3 times since 2016 and a few bugs fixed so maybe that why my 2.78c works ok.

2.78c works for me as well, but it does not work for Feyona, another moderator, no matter what she does. So we only recommend 2.76 to people because it work for everyone and the differences are not significant.

I did the settings, but it's still the same. Isn't there something else that I could try to have 2.78 work? No. If it doesn't work then it does not work. The reason is unknown it is just the fact. Keep 2.76 in Studio's settings. There is no way to troubleshoot and make 2.78 work if it exports an empty file.
