Hey everyone! I wanted to make an oversized shirt but as a top so it can be used with different pants but turns out its clipping quite hard with the bottom part of the sim body. I was wondering how is it possible to make an oversized shirt that doesnt clip? I tried to delete the bottom part through the rig in blender but that didnt work. For reference, it looks like this:

Hi. Never edit the body parts under rig. While they are not imported in s4s, messing with them can cause problems for some reason. It's best if you clone something again, export the blend, open it, delete the cloned item, append your shirt there, then save it, and import it in the newly cloned package. This will ensure that whatever could have happened after editing the rig was gone.
Anyway, your mesh covers the groin area, so everything below the navel should morph and animate like the groin area. To make sure that happens, you need to transfer weights and uvs from something that, like, has a groin area. A tank top/nude body/bra/etc does not, so you need to use a full-body outfit like a short dress. So find a short dress of the same length with as little sculpted details as possible and transfer that data from it. Just make sure there are no skirt bones and check the item in CAS on the highest settings.

If i use a short dress to transfer the weights, can i still use my mesh as a top or do i have to use it as a full body outfit?

You can use it as a top regardless of what you made, but what you clone is very important. Your top is not long enough to be affected by skirt bones, so there should be no problem if you choose some long top. Make sure it has the same number of meshgroups (something like yfTop_BlousePeplum if yours is made of only one)
