I want to recolor a CAS item (in this case the Dream Home Decorator male vest) and want to get rid of the achievement limitation so it shows up in CAS from the beginning. Unfortunately I don't know how. Is it possible or have I to give up

I don't have Dream Home Decorator so I don't know what the vest looks like. Is it one of these? Regardless, you'd clone the vest with Sims4Studio, export the meshes (don't forget all the LODs), and textures (each diffuse, shadow, specular, and normal; you only need one of the shadow, specular and normal textures, but you need each diffuse color). When cloning, if each color choice is a separate item, shift-click all the colors you want and they will all be included in your clone. Here's an example of what I mean and please note that I just picked a random top: Then, clone something new that is similar to the Dream Home Decorator male vest--ideally, you'd clone a base game top--and then import the meshes and textures. Make whatever changes you want in the Catalog tab, and save. You can make a custom thumbnail, as well. That's optional, however.

You can also go to the Warehouse tab, click on the CASPart, scroll down and you will see a section called "PartFlags2". Uncheck the box that says "CreatedInGame" (ignore the ShowInUI box I hightlighted in the image, this is from my knitting tutorial). You will have to do this for every CASPart in the Warehouse, but if you add future swatches they will automatically have that turned off.
