I honestly have no clue what else to title this??? My sim has got wobbly arms??? I made this dress and for some reason this happened. Does anyone know what might have caused this and how i can go about fixing it? I swear I never had this many issues making cc in the sims 3 ugh! imgur.com/RZPlofZimgur.com/2vR1kbvimgur.com/0lbZxoF

If you were to look at a uv_1 of any maxis item, you'd see that uvs do not fit in the uv space. After you transfer the uv_1, you're done, you must not shrink it. People did this in the past when blender had no Data transfer modifier to make uvs manually, now there is no need for that. There are a few more things that have nothing to do with this issue but will cause others: - in MD model in quads, doing this in tris makes the mesh look like crumpled paper. Do not lower particle distance too much, your whole outfit should not have more than 10k tris; - when closing holes, do not just scale the new geometry down, collapse it with Alt M. All newly created geometry must be unwrapped; - do not join the body with the garment until you'll make the latter fully functional. The weights will not transfer right. If you were to select skirt bones, you'd see that they are affecting legs; - transfer weights and uvs with nearest face interpolated, this will ensure smooth morphing and animating; - dresses must be painted with two colors; Vertex paint dictates what variation (skin-tight and robe-like) of deformation maps the painted area will deform according to in CAS during body customization and animation. 00FF00 is for skint-tight areas, 3FFF00 is for any skirt-like area ( skirts, bottom parts of dresses, coats, aprons, etc). Start by choosing 00FF00 and Paint - Set vertex color 1). Disable Limit selection to visible; 2). Holding Ctrl, lasso-select the bottom part of the mesh starting somewhere in the middle of the pelvic bone; 3). Enable sync; 4). Press B and deselect legs; 5). Switch to Vertex paint and enable Face selection masking for painting; 6). Type in 3FFF00; 7). Paint - Set vertex colors; 8). Press A twice to deselect and select everything again, Paint - Smooth vertex colors - if you plan on sharing your cc with other people, clone base game items. Otherwise, those who do not have an expansion pack will not be able to access your cc

I also was trying to figure out how to close holes and then unwrap it but I couldnt to save my life, thank you!! truly thank you for everything, i really appreciate all your help!

I… the fact that a lot of these authors have never looked at maxis meshes is no news to me but now I’m starting to believe some have never actually looked at their own cc in-game…

mauvemorn sorry me again! i just wanted to follow up on what you said about closing the holes, sine you told me to do it a different way. I've run into a slight issue even though I followed the tutorial you posted on closing holes. I collapsed and everything like you said, but the shape it makes, I cant make smaller due to it being connected with part of the dress. So in scaling that part, I scale everything else. I must have missed something or done something wrong, but i cant find how. imgur.com/ISZZTdA
