Just a general question about CC downloading. Why do people bother with zip and rar files for individual package files?
The size difference is rarely even half a mb in size. That may have made a difference in 2004, but by modern internet standards, it's nothing. Why not just upload packages directly?

Hi. Size has never been the reason for this in our community. File hosting websites generate a direct link either to one file or to a folder. If you need to share more than one package, you have to either archive them or create a folder. If a folder contains many files, a person would need to click on each individually to download it.
It is possible that a file hosting website does it on its own. Sometimes people share blend files with us that are archived. I doubt they do it themselves, probably an auto run prevention measure a file hosting website takes

But I'm specifically asking about individual files, where there's only one thing to download.

You can just ask a specific creator if they are doing that themselves and why
But, as i said, there is no specific ts4 related reason
