I am Having some issues with blender when trying to create my hair cc. I need to create a duplicate of a hair piece and mirror it, but when I mirror it and then join the two pieces, part of the hair pieces disappear. In edit mode, when I select the hair copy, it seems as though they are doubled vertices (idk if that makes sense). I cant export the hair into seism 4 studio if I don't join the meshes together. So if anyone knows what to do please help meeee I would attach a picture but I cant.

Hi... strange that I did not see this thread, was it transferred from somewhere?
Anyway, when you flip a mesh horizontally, its normals are flipped as well. You need to flip them by selecting the area and Mesh - Normal - Flip normals, so there is no need to use a whole modifier
