EA made some nice desks for the base game but they were a little stingy with the slots. The Mega, the All Purpose, and the Inspiration desks all have these nice raised back areas perfect for slots but they have only 3 slots in that location between them. I've fixed that by adding 28 new slots for these desks. The Mega needed the existing slots moved a bit to make room for the others. This is a default override mod that will add 28 new slots to your desks and contains only the resources needed to add slots to these desks. All 3 are merged into one .package. Clutter your world, including your office, a little more effortlessly. The download is at the bottom of the post. Looking good! The're just so much things in game that make no sense.
Like they made those things on purpose that weird, so the modding community could fix it all (rofl)

Hi allisas, my feeling on overrides is that they allow players to pick and choose among the various resources in a .package to hone an item to how they want it. I like the mesh override you've done and I can link to it so people could check it out and see if they want both the slots I've added and the mesh edit you've done. The issue is though that your override as it currently is will conflict with any other resource override of this desk because you did not remove the resources that you didn't edit. What you could do is delete all the resources but the Model LOD and Model resources since the only resource you've changed is those. Then you can link to my override and your downloaders can get the slot override I made if they want that too. If you decide to delete the uneeded resources you have included let me know so I can link your cute mesh edit You're welcome mehrlicht...I'm glad you like the desks |

OM, I've now deleted the unnecessary resources in my package and it works wonderfully. I've done the same thing with a bookcase mesh edit and I'll upload them to my studio! Thanks for explaining! |

Be aware that plasticbox has an added-slots override mod for the All-Purpose desk. Fortunately I remembered that and removed it as yours covers three desks not just the one. But it's possible that others have the dl as it was offered at MTS. I'm just cautioning because I often myself forget what I've downloaded  |

Well I don't download anything from that person so I have no need to worry. If people want to be sure they have my slot mod with 13 slots working instead of hers with just 7 slots they should remove her mod from their mods folder when they install mine. Otherwise that one will conflict and cause them to have a situation where sometimes they're looking for the desk mod I made that has lots of slots and get the one she made that has only 7. You would probably be better off telling plasticbox to be aware that I've made this mod so she can take her mod down or add extra slots so hers doesn't cause people expecting lots of slots to end up with fewer than they thought they were going to get  |
