Can someone tell me why this dress clips into the couch? Not sure how to fix it or if that's normal for the way I made it. I duplicated the dress and flipped normals.

Hi. Duplicating the dress and flipping normals is not how you should be adding inner geometry. We need to see the blend file to know for sure. But most likely this is just how the dress is shaped. If it was tighter in the back, this would not happen

Here is the file. This is the only way I know how to do a dress with strappy sleeves so the sim doesn't look invisible underneath the clothes. do you have a tutorial on here for this? link

Sorry for the wait, lost the thread among the others. If you were to study similarly shaped maxis meshes, you'd see that the holes at the bottom are closed and all parts of the body hidden by it are deleted. You would also notice that the inner geometry exists only in places where it is visible. Everywhere else it serves no purpose, only makes the file weight more and the game take longer to load it How to close holes: - Switch to Edit mode ( TAB ), switch to Edge select ( 1 ), select the border edge loop ( 2 ) by Alt-RMB-clicking on it; - Press E to extrude, S to scale, scale it down ( 3 ); - Press Alt M and choose Collapse ( 4 ); - Switch to Vertex select, select the vertex in the middle of created geometry, optionally move it up a bit, press Shift NumPad7 to align the view parallel to it; - Select - Select More/Less - More ( 5 ); - Shading / UVs - UV Mapping - Unwrap - Project from view* ( 6 ); - In UV editor scale it down ( S ) and put somewhere in the extra area; - Select the same border edge again and mark it as Sharp* ( 7 ).
