I just installed Sims 4 Studio today and am using Photoshop to make basic adjustments to a shirt but everytime I try and color it a lighter color using the color replacement tool, i find that the texture makes the color really dark. Doesnt matter if I adjust it to be a lighter color, it seems to only get darker. I'm thinking maybe a different texture but i'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated

Could you add screenshots of the texture and what you do in photoshop?

Could you add screenshots of the texture and what you do in photoshop? Sorry for the terrible quality, I don't know why it was so bad but whatever

Well, you're starting out with a dark grey. Go to Image > Adjustments > Levels, or Ctrl + L, and lighten the color. You can use Brightness/Contrast to lighten the grey but I find it tends to make things look washed out and faded. I like Levels better because it will preserve the shading.
You can also use Curves (Image > Adjustments > Curves, or Ctrl + M) to give the grey some color, any color, it doesn't matter, then Hue/Saturation to get the tone you want. (Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation or Ctrl + U).

Hi. A better idea would be to just export a texture that is lighter. - clone a white or light t-shirt, export its diffuse texture in png, open in photoshop; - Ctrl-LMB-click on the layer, click on Create new fill or adjustment layer, choose either Selective color or Solid color, then change the blending mode of a layer ( if it Solid color)

Sorry for the terrible quality, I don't know why it was so bad but whatever I don't know which t-shirt you are using but it would work if you chose a lighter version of the texture, also you could go to "ctrl + u" and play with the hue, saturation and brightnes. Another thing you could try is to make a new layer fill it with the pink you want, and play with the blending modes. The tab above the layers that usually says "normal".
