Hello, I'm currently trying to convert some armor. I feel like I'm really close but can't seem to import it to a package. It's not giving me an error, it's looking like it's successful but the mesh doesn't change. I am using the fisherman outfit for women, which only has 1 cut. I'm using this one because it works for another creator who is doing the same thing (same game conversions). I have also tried cutting it into two cuts for the Ayla (star wars) outfit too, no go. Here is my blender fileHere is the fisherman outfit package. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

Hi. Do you have multiple version of blender? Yes, I have 2.7, 2.77, 2.79, 2.83 but I only used 2.7 and 2.77 like a tutorial told me to.

Make sure the blend file is saved in the version of Blender that has s4studio cas tools. Make sure the mesh is visible Also, the link to the package does not work but if you mean ymBody_Fisherman, that package has 2 meshgroups in LOD0. If you cloned another creator's package started from this outfit but there's only one meshgroup in LOD0, then they deleted the other meshgroup and you should not work with that package bc it is corrupted. Also, if you will change blender path in s4s settings to 2.79, re-start blender, and see s4studio cas tools in it, then you can delete 2.7 and 2.77 There are two key differences in 2.7 and 2.76-2.79 that give people problems. When you click on Transfer weights in 2.7, all vertex groups and values are transferred, in 2.76-2.79 only the values of the active group. All you need to do is change that setting (it’s called Source layer..., change to By Name). However, changing a few more settings will give you a lot better results -make sure both the reference and your garment are visible and selectable; - select the reference, shift-select the garment, in weight paint mode click on Transfer weights, set it like in the pic, then choose Clean with All groups and Limit total. Another difference is that in vertex paint the shading is not flat, so you can switch it to bounding box to sample the color [/quote]

Unfortunately when I changed the path to 2.79, S4S no longer exports meshes at all. I can press 'export' and save the file, but the file is completely empty when I open it (in both 2.79, and 2.70 ((since I was curious))). 2.79 has CAS Tools installed, so I'm not exactly sure what's going on. I made two cuts for the Female Fisherman outfit (cut the fingers off separately like the fisherman outfit does) using 2.70 again, but it still won't import into the Female Fisherman package.

Re-start s4s, just in case, and try exporting again. If the blend will be empty again, then there’s nothing that can be done, unfortunately. You don’t need 2.7, either way, can just do everything in 2.77. It just needs to have s4studio.
Could you try the following: - clone any maxis item, export the blend, open it in the version that has s4studio cas tools, edit the shape in any way(just select any vertex and move it away); - save the blend, import back in s4s; - if the mesh will update, the problem is with the package/blend file. If it won’t, the problem is with the plugin probably. If the mesh updates, try importing the blend file with the garment somewhere else to see if it will import.

I tried changing the path to 2.77 in S4S, but it said that I need 2.70 to be installed for S4S to work and directed me to download it. Going back to 2.70 as prompted by S4S, I was able to clone the fisherman outfit, move a single vertex moved it away, and it *did* import successfully with the moved vertex. So it must be with my blend file. What do you mean importing the blend file with the garment somewhere else? Import it where?

Could you share your paths in s4s settings please
I mean to clone a different maxis mesh that is not a fisherman suit and try importing the blend there, does not matter how many meshgroups that outfit has, you just need to check if the blend will import

1). The paths are correct; 2). I've tried importing your blend in the fisherman suit and it worked
Try this: clone aayala, export the blend, delete s4studio_mesh_2, append the garment from your package, save, try importing in the aayala package. If it will work, go back in blender and delete the overlapping area of the finger, then clone aayala package again and re-import. Otherwise there will be distortions in the finger area

I guess it's my computer that's having issues with this...

It doesn't work for me, unfortunately. I can't import the blend you provided into a new Aayla package, nor into the other LODs of the package you provided. It really seems like a computer/software issue at this point. Do you think maybe uninstalling 2.70 and S4S and reinstalling them cleanly would do anything? That's all I can think of, at this point. Thank you for all your help, but I'm not really sure where to go from here. You did so much for me even though it didn't work out, thank you so so much for your kindness.
