Hi. I'm having a few issues with Studio latest version 3.1.5.5 The reaction time takes much longer than it used to with pre-versions.
Whenever I export or import a mesh, it takes almost 40-50 sec. on first attempt before studio finally reacts, and it doesn't matter how small the file is.
It also does it when just exporting or importing 1 texture file. It almost feels like Studio is going into some kind of sleep mode while open but not used for a bit.
For testing purpose I re-installed the previous version 3.1.5.4 which I still have on my comp and no such thing happens. Studio will promtly react with no sleep mode feeling. I don't know how to better describe it. Does anybody else have this?

Hi. The latest version is 3.1.5.6. The one you have has the object-related bug, so its best to re-install it

mauvemorn - I downloaded the latest version 3.1.5.6 hoping that everything would be back to normal as it used to be, but sadly the issue still exits :( No clue what could cause this.

Have you tried running as admin? Is s4s added to exceptions in your antivirus? Is it installed on disk C?

I have been using Studio as admin for several years now and never had this issue before. It's installed in C and no antivirus (Defender) is blocking it. This lagging issue happens AFTER version 3.1.5.4. I had no problems running this older version. Therefore I don't understand what it could be with the newer versions. I'm on Win10 prof. and all my drivers are up to date. I even removed Studio completely incl. all leftovers and reinstalled again from scratch.

By “no antivirus is blocking it” do you mean it is in the exceptions? Or that you just don’t get a pop up informing you? pop up will not show up because the antivirus does not see s4s as a virus, it just does not allow it to access some files at all or fast enough A few days ago we had a person who could not run s4s as admin because their s4s was installed on the c disk, could you try moving the whole s4s folder away from the c disk and adding it to exceptions in windows defender if it isn’t already there?

Sorry yes, it is in exeptions in defender and firewall checked private and public. I personly added it a long while ago to prevent installation issues. I only have C drive and a few extern drives.

Hi again. Sorry for not getting back sooner to the supject, but I had other issues on my plate in RL. I followed the instructions, but the issue persists. Reimporting meshes, no matter how big or small, takes almost a minute for every LOD. Again, this never happend before with older versions. There is something not going right with Studio lately.
