Hi again,
I'm making a replacer for the Bone Hilda costume and I'm trying to transfer weights from the original mesh to really similar custom mesh. I followed these two tutorials 1 and 2 with no luck. In weight paint mode everything seems as it should but in the game the new mesh is not assigned to the rig at all. How do I assign the mesh to the rig, or is the problem elsewhere? Any help would be great, I'm a bit at lost as this is my first time really editing weights. Here's the blender file: www.mediafire.com/file/hk4hfqy3fl4ls76/88orighilda.blend/file
(Ignore the texture and uv mapping, it's a work in progress)

Hi. If you were to select any vertex group in the list, you'd see that it affects the mesh everywhere at the maximum. That is not how it should be - select the garment and delete all vertex groups - make sure both the reference and your garment are visible and selectable; - select the reference, shift-select the garment, in weight paint mode click on Transfer weights, set it like in the pic, then choose Clean with All groups and Limit total.
