Hi all,
Hope you're all staying safe. I'm having some issues with a piece of CC and I'm hoping you can help.
This is a frankenmesh - a vest from Dine Out, collar, tie and lapels from a (male frame) suit (Get Together) and sleeves from a CC top (used with permission from creator as per their open TOU).
I'm having an issue where the mesh is splitting between the vest and lapels. Primary issues:
- Split not visible in S4S but is visible in CAS- Widens and narrows when chest/breast slide is turned up. My tester says no glitch with teens or male frame even with a larger chest.
- Lapels clip with tie and do not move much when chest slider turned up.
What I have checked:
- Graphics card issue - No - I have fixed Anti-Aliasing and this fixed the visible glitch in CAS
- Did I remove doubles - several times
- that the vertices are merged at the vest and lapels - they are
- UV_0 - the lapels are mapped separately from the vest (as they were on the original mesh) so not directly welded to the vest.
- weights/vertex - I'm not experienced with weights/vertex painting so I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that the collar, tie and lapels came from a male frame. I didn't identify any issues but thought perhaps it wasn't correctly weighted to the spine - picture attached.- UV_1 - it's a bit of a mess (I'm in the middle of fixing the sleeves, they were like that originally) but have fixed the lapels and ensured they're correctly welded.
I suspect it may have something to do with the weight/vertex, or perhaps the lapels need to be remapped so they can be directly welded onto the UV for the vest.
I had a thought to try weight transferring from an existing base game top to see if this might work, but haven't tried this as of yet. Any insight you can give I would appreciate - it's not a huge deal but I'd rather release quality CC and at least attempt to fix this issue beforehand.
