Hi, I just made my first recolor ever and I don't know if it's because I used Gimp but the shirt I colored came out looking really pixelated in-game and just not good. The color is lovely, but does anyone know how to resolve this? drive.google.com/file/d/1OKIqtyJkmFLySEx7uWWtvZZ3NlaGc7Uj/view Here's the shirt in a brighter color:

Hi. Not sure if you were sharing your files or not (you should so someone can look at it) but you'll need to provide access.

My guess is that you made a really heavy adjustment in brightness or hue, which tends to make blocky-looking gradients like that. The easiest fix is to try starting out with a swatch that is closer to what you're aiming for. Another fix is to add blur after adjusting, but ideally you'd want to apply the blur selectively so you don't lose your seams or clothing edges.

Yes, starting from a similar (or at least similarly bright) texture is a better idea. It is also best to export it as png. Then you just need to adjust the hue and save as png.
