I downloaded a skin detail CC that I want to create duplicate versions of but change the location (Mole right cheek, Mole left cheek etc.) so I can select the one that doesn't collide with other CC I might use in CAS. So I changed it in S4S and saved it under a different name but when I go into the game and look for them in CAS I can only see the new version I modified? How do I make my new copy not override the old one?

Hi. Saving under a different name creates an identical copy of the original. Instead of a standalone item it works like a swatch. You need to clone it. You need to copy-paste it in /documents/sims 4 studio/mods, then close s4s, open it again, filter content by custom, choose it, Next, name it, change the category, save.

Hi, thanks for replying. Where do I go to "filter content by custom"? Sorry I'm very new to this, I copied the file like you said but I don't know where to find this filter option in S4S.

When you're in the window that shows all the items you can clone, at the very top look for "content." Right next to it is a dropdown menu that says "all, game, custom." Choose custom.

Are you talking about when I click the CAS button on the main screen? "Create CAS Standalone"? Is that the one I should use? Sorry this is my first time trying to create a package file.

You can click on either Create CAS standalone or Create 3D mesh, they do the same thing, but yes, after that
