ik all abt the aom candles, but vertex paint doesn't work with them, and that's a huge part of why im even making candles. is there another way?

Someone posted this in the tutorial's thread. According to that post, you'd have to clone a lamp, it looks like, then add slots. You can also try using the AOM candle and copying over the vertex declaration values and the stride value from a lamp. Look at this post and this post. The AOM candle used a decor item as its base and isn't set up to display vertex paint. This was something I ran into with that desk. It was important that the desk function as a desk yet display vertex paint. Changing the vertex declaration and stride values did the trick.
