I'm working on a helmet, and the one thing that I can't figure out is how to set up the mesh so it isn't smoothed weirdly in the game. The game gives it a strange smooth finish that ignores the sharp edges set up in Blender. Is there any way to import Blender's autosmooth, or change the default smoothing in any way?
blender, autosmooth off (basically has the same strange smoothing that's in the game?): imgur.com/t2Dq5SP

Hi. The game shades everything as smooth by default. To tell it to shade the edge as sharp you need to split it. Select edges that you want to be sharp and then Mesh - Edges - Edge split. There is a modifier that can split edges of certain angle but it is best to not use it because it can split the edges you don’t want to be shaded as sharp
