Hi. The problem lies in the choice of the reference.
The swimsuit you cloned is made of 3 meshgroups. It is also not affected by skirt bones.
Your blend had only one meshgroup, so only one part of the swimsuit was replaced while other stayed. It is also affected by skirt bones, so you get distortions in that area.
The solution is to clone a dress made of one meshgroup and affected by skirt bones. Put DressPanels in the search field and clone it. Import the blend there

Do everything Mauvemorn says and delete the thumbnail in your package. Next time you go into the game and equip your dress the game will generate a new thumbnail.
