So basically I was up all day trying to do something so simple. I finally figured out what to do and now an error is blocking me from finishing this project. So frustrating!
I'm trying to edit in the custom mochi dishes from the Mochi Fridge Mod so it works for me again. No intentions on posting it or anything out of respect towards KawaiiStacie, this is just for me and my modding practice.
Basically the important bit in the SimData for the mochi recipe is as follows:
</L>
<T name="restaurant_base_price">15</T>
<T name="restaurant_menu_icon_definition">8538</T>
<T name="thumbnail_geo_state"></T>
<T name="thumbnail_material_state"></T>
</I>
Specifically this line: <T name="restaurant_menu_icon_definition">8538</T> needs to be edited. 8538 is the object definition for pancakes so when the sim makes mochi a platter of pancakes appears rather than the custom object. The name and the servings that are grabbed are all correct so this is the one little tweak left to get the mod back to normal.
I figured out in the SimData file respective to this it also contained a "restaurant_menu_icon_definition" line and it needs to have the same item definition in order to work in game. The 8538 needs to be replaced with the custom item definition for the mochi which is 15391081890269953992.
It's found in this line of code
</L>
<T n="definition">15391081890269953992</T>
<L n="initial_states">
<T>15322<!--CommodityBasedObjectStateValue: Servings_LargeEmpty--></T>
</L>
The big issue is whenever I replace said number it keeps giving me this error evetime I go to save saying:
Sim Data Parsing Failed
The value 15391081890269953992 is not valid for the Sim Data type UInt32 in resource: 545AC67A-0097F8C8-C1276A0F131DD646. Please make sure that you have formatted it correctly. All numbers except LocalizationKey and ResourceKey values should be in decimal format.
But I'm positive that 15391081890269953992 is the decimal format I got after converting the instance from the object in the Hash Generator. So I'm stumped at what the studio wants from me.
Any suggestions would be amazing, and I can provide pictures if this wasn't clear enough. If anyone needs to look into the file itself the mochi fridge mod is still up on KawaiiStacie's website.
