I have been stuck on the issue of creating custom premade Sims for some time now. The end result I am looking for is essentially a premade Sim which can show up when some condition is met, similar to Father Winter, Vladislaus Straud or the Flower Bunny.
As far as I can see, the premade Sims are organized as a Premade Household Template, consisting of one or more Premade Sim Templates. The Sim Template also referencing the SimInfo-resource for that particular Sim. Now the problem I am having, is that editing and replacing any of these, doesn't seem to change anything in game. Initially, I suspected that these were only used once when making the save-file, but starting a new game makes no difference either. I for the life of me cannot figure out where the premade Sims are even stored, or at what point these resources becomes relevant.
I was hoping someone might have some insight and could point me in the right direction, cause I am clearly missing something. It would also be a great help if someone could point out some mods which adds these types of characters, or simply adds or changes regular premade Sims/Households.
I know that WickedWhims has a "Peeping Tom" character", and while I am not too off put by having to dabble in some Python, the complexity of the Mod is a bit too much for me quite frankly. WW does however not seem to be using any of the Template resources, only the SimInfo resource, and neither can the Sim be searched up immidietly after creating the game (as opposed to for example Clement Frost with sims.get_sim_id_by_name Clement Frost).
