When ever I open s4s it shows this error message after trying to load all the dlcs I have for sims 4.
Edit: Found some other threads on this error but the solution was to allow s4s through your anti-virus, I have done this for my anti-virus, the firewall and the windows security and yet the error is still showing. My anti-virus is: Trend Micro Maximum Security.

I have also encountered something that could be a clue to the fix. When I go into the s4s settings and change the path to \The Sims 4\Game\Bin then it does not show the error but of course that's not the right path so when I go to change it back to the correct path it shows a message saying: imgur.com/a/1r5LD8Q

Hi. Try the following:
- run s4s as admin
- if s4s is installed on the c drive, move its installation folder to the D drive or any other one if you have them in the first place (not external drive)

Technically you can, I just wanted to specify that I meant D, E, etc drives, the ones that are created when the c drive is split by the programmer.
The last time the person misunderstood and was ready to buy an external drive lol
So again, if you only have the c drive and s4s is installed on it, just give it permission

I think the reason why some have better luck using a drive other than the C drive is because of permissions, but I've encountered permissions issues with my D drive for other applications, meaning it's possible to have permissions problems with a D, or E, or any other drive.

*Regardless of what drive you're using, make sure to take ownership of your folder and the files within it just to be sure.
*Studio doesn't need access through your firewall as it doesn't need to communicate with anything via the internet. It only needs to be able to read the game's files and Blender's files.
*Make sure your antivirus is not blocking Studio, the game, or Blender. I think this is how it's done with your antivirus.
*You should prolly install Blender for real since Studio will expect it, and Studio only supports 2.70 - 2.79, btw. Also, you do NOT need 2.70. A lot of tutorials say you do but that's not true.
*Make sure you have Net Framework installed as Studio relies on it.
*You may have to repair your game.
*You may have to reinstall your game.

That's all I can think of. Usually, the problem is related to something I listed above.

Edit: I just found this post which lists a similar error. The author of the post said it was a problem with the DLCs, i.e., the expansion packs, which is exactly what you were trying to work with when you got your error. It sounds like a game repair is the first thing you should try; if you're still having issues then go to Mauvemorn's link and follow the directions there. Someone else had a similar problem as yours and it was a permissions issue.
