i need to combine 2 different hairs together (the bangs from one and the ponytail/back from the other) to make a new hairstyle out of them. i know the basics already and how to edit each part and etc. since i've used blender before to model stuff, however each time i import the mesh directly it's very messy or buggy and in game the texture is glitchy and stuff, any tips? or can someone explain step by step?

Hair is not something I have experience with at this time but I can tell you that when making alpha hair layering is important. The game needs to know which planes to render first and which to render last. Layering tells the game the correct order to render planes. Here's a tutorial on making hair but it relies on 3DS Max—3DS Max shows transparency issues, though there are instructions that someone shared on enabling transparency in Blender but I can't attest to how useful that would be when it comes to layering. You'll want to keep the planes from clipping into one another as much as possible. Using proportional editing works well for that, I think. Mauvemorn is better at helping with this but I should also add that it always helps to share your files and a screenshot of your problem.

Hi. Combining hair, especially alpha hair, is a difficult task to explain, learn and do. If this is not necessary, I advice you to not try.
