So, for a long time I wanted to make an Alpha hair so I decided to go for it. Did the alphas in Blender for the first time, didn't like the result that much so I scraped it and today I restarted the project! And I got some pretty good result! Additional Info: Hair cards done with Fibermesh although you can achieve similar results with Blender Everything else done in Blender Look: imgur.com/a/Olhkn5m On the first image: Painted some arrows to make sure I was laying the hair the right direction
For the ponytails base I used a curve with low resolution and then I converted it to mesh and adjusted the UV as it was already a square!
Second Image: Almost fully done with the base strands Third: Got started with Fly Aways, Duplicated base strands and edited those
Fourth: Finished modelling
I also did a scrunchie using Subdivision Surface to create a high poly mesh then Displace Modifier with Voronoi, used Decimate to cut the poly count, smoothed it out with subsurface and scult tools and TA-DA! The only part missing now is reordering the planes and weight paintings. And theeeeen testing it in game XD
