i've tried mulitple different methods at this point, but i can't get any of the meshes i've created for this to show up in-game, despite the fact that they show up just fine in both blender and s4s. you can even select it when you go into create-a-sim, but nothing will actually show up on the sim

You're still using the specular from the original clone but more importantly, your bump map is not right at all. Mauvemorn has some blank maps here. Use the shadow map, the bump map and the specular map. Clone a hat and export its specular and its specular mask. Delete the specular; you don't need it. But, keep the mask file. So, you'd be using Mauvemorn's specular (.dds) and the EA hat's specular mask (.mask.dds). Make sure the specular mask file is named "spec.mask.dds". The reason for this is that Mauvemorn's specular is named "spec.dds" and the front part of the name for both files have to be the same. Make sure both files are in the same folder. When you import the specular the specular mask will import automatically.

Hi. Just so it's clear why exactly the item does not appear, your specular map is of the wrong size. It should be half the size of the diffuse/shadow. In your case, 512x1024

Just checked the file in the game and we misunderstood the type of "mesh does not appear" situation you are experiencing., there are a number of ways this can happen. So, if you were to switch to the Mesh tab, you'd see that the polycount of every lod is set at 0. I'm not sure what exactly you did wrong is the process of creating a package to result in this, but re-start the package again. - Create 3d mesh under CAS menu, choose earrings, Next, save in Mods folder; - export the blend, delete s4studio_mesh_1; - File - Append - the blend with horns - Object - the horns meshgroup, Append from library; - assign 0000 for cut and GEOM for Type, save; - import this blend in the package you just cloned, check it in game. - if it appears, add all other textures and swatches. Always check how the mesh works before creating many swatches so that you would not have to re-do this again
Also, please always share the blend and the package so that we would know what was going on in the blend before it was imported in s4s
