The may seem like a simple question. Since there is no selective clone tool for CAS items, how would I go about texture referencing a new mesh to an in game hair? Where do I find the instance values for the diffuse textures?

Hi. Under CAS menu, choose Create CAS standalone. Filter items by part type, Shift-click on one swatch of the hair to select all of them, click Next, name it something. Now you have the item that is identical to the original but all of its resources are not included in the package, they are referenced. You can start replacing some(meshes) and leave the others ( textures) untouched
