I made a hair mesh. It has a lot of duplicated parts so idk whether it can't handle the amount of verticies or something. I don't know what to do.

Hi. Maxis meshes do not go above 10k tris and you dont want yours to go much further that that either.
Make sure subsurface modifier is applied. If it is and the polycount is high, reduce it by selecting and dissolving edge loops
