Hi all! I'm pretty new to making custom content so go easy on me haha. I'm currently making a sweater that has buttons on it. Is there a way for me to have buttons on the front without them contorting when you make the chest bigger? I'm not sure if there is a simple solution to this lol but I thought I'd give it a shot. The buttons aren't 3D, everything is painted on by me (hence the distortion) so I'm wondering if there's a simple way to do this without adding on 3D buttons in Blender. Follow-up: If I do need to make them in blender as 3d objects, how do I go about that? I've tested it out a few times making the button shapes and putting them on the front of the sweater, but every time I open it in CAS, the buttons are floating all around and don't sit on the shirt. Hi. While you can create texture-based buttons of appropriate size by painting them over in Blender, the one in the chest area will still stretch when the breast are made bigger. You could try painting the breasts with 3fff00 ( read only the quoted area) but it will still happen to an extent. Here is an example of how to paint on the mesh (you just need to export your top and paint on it instead of the head) - make the head selectable, select it; - in the texture tab click on a new slot and press New to create a new one, then press New to create a new image. Make it 1024x2048 and set Alpha to 0; - switch to Texture paint, choose Slots, switch to the new image; - optionally you can also choose it in the uv editor If you were to make sculpted buttons, the one in the chest area will still stretch with the breasts morphs. For the newly created geometry to conform to the rest of the outfit, it must be rigged, vertex painted, have uv_1. To avoid doing this, you could projects a circle on the surface of the top, then use Weld edges into shape to carve it into the surface. Then you could extrude and unwrap it. Both of these options require basic understanding of mesh editing and blender interface, so you would need to watch a tutorial on mesh editing first.
