I succeeded in making cc Sims4 floors, wallpaper and a a painting object, but I thought I would level up. So I decided I would make an onggi, since I couldn't find one in Korean or English, but I'm running into a few issues since It's been over 3 years since I used Blender and the GUI and shortcuts have all changed.
Onggi look like this:
They are earthenware pots used to make different types of Kimchi, persimmon vinegar, rice vinegar, makgeolli, soju (after distilling), soy sauce, fish sauce, etc. Unique to Korean culture.
I managed to make this using screw, solidify and subdivision
The lid is separate. So here are my issues:
1. I really need something like this for the Mac. I would ask the creator of the video for such a menu, but the video is old. Anyone know how to do this, even if a textbox, so I don't have to keep flipping between the browser and the GUI?

2. I really need to know the Mac shortcut for this menu. It changed, irking me and I use it frequently in Maya.
3. I need to commit screw, subdivide and solidify so I can add handles to the object and merge them.
Do you know how to do that? (i.e. not show up as modifiers, but the object looks the same. Similar to the idea of cmd+e on Photoshop for layer effects.)
4. I tried to copy the object to make a different iteration for a different climate. However, it copied, but wouldn't show on screen. I tried to look it up, but the shortcuts have all changed, and the procedures with it. Could I get a simple up-to-date Mac version of how to do it?

5. I followed directions to lock the layers, but they still can be manipulated. This wasn't an issue in earlier versions. I don't understand why I can still manipulate the object when I've locked it several ways. The behavior of the program isn't the same, irking me.
6. I'd love for the object to be able to be manipulated and made into a usable object, but I have no patience for that and I'm a terrible scripter. Is there a place I could do a collab?
