Created a hair and it has weird outlines right between the simskin and simglass part. Is there a fix for this? imgur.com/Jxf1Ej1

The uvs are too close to the borders of the uv space, move them away.
Your hair must have uv_0 and uv_1, in that order, with those exact names. It must be vertex painted, otherwise it will not morph as intended. You must adapt your item first and check how it morphs/moves in-game before splitting it into more meshgroups, otherwise there will be gaps between them.
