how to place stacked objects in inventory

The items are stacked on top of each other, so i would like to be able to drag them together and drop them all in the inventory, right now they can all be live dragged while stack but when I go to drop them in the inventory nothing goes in there and they jump back to their original place on the floor. 

Any help is greatly appreciate.
