Hi, the normal map looks off after saving. :( I really don't know what I am doing wrong with making my map It's not even transparent. I followed a tutorial and saved it as dds.(color+ alpha, BC38bpp linear) In the game the object looks patchy (it's casting shadows everywhere) For the specular map I did: (alpha 50%, red 60%, green 20%, blue 80%) Thank you for your help in advance! ♡ I tried a bit different format (BC7 8bpp Fast linear DX11+), then it looked worse:

Hi. The map does not look right. 1). You bake or make the regular purple map; 2). You create a new file and put the green channel of this map in the rgb; 3). Put the red channel in the transparency mask/alpha; 4). Save as png if using transparency mask. Save as bc3 or dxt5 with generated mipmaps if using dds.
