Currently making a kids bedroom set. All the models have a plain white base texture with shading and highlights, no colors added yet. All the textures look the exactly the same, they all have the exact same hue/brightness of white, however in game the meshes all have a different hue, like something else adds color. They all should be the exact same white. So my question is: Is there something in blender or S4S what adds color to a mesh? Like a light or ambient color which can be changed? I don't make my models in blender, I make them in 3DSM and then import them to Blender.

It seems to be the effect of dynamic lighting. You could see this on the sectional sofas until maxis changed their shader to counters. Pic by TudTuds. That's all I can say without seeing your packages.

You could check to see if the objects are all using the same shader as each other as well because they can make changes to how colours display.

I have seen the shading options in S4S but I don't know what and how to change it. It seems to be the effect of dynamic lighting. I tried moving the furniture around, but it did not change the colors.

The problem was indeed the material! Some meshes were 'Phong' and others were 'Cabinet'. I changed all the furniture - and all the LODs stages - to 'Cabinet' (just personal preference, cabinet seems cool, phong has a more warm look, plus I want them to somewhat match the HD furniture which are also 'Cabinet'). I left the matresses (separated from bedframe) to 'Phong', those doesn't have to match because it's a different material anyway

So glad you managed to solve it. Sorry I didn't come back sooner to see your question about changing shaders.

So glad you managed to solve it. Sorry I didn't come back sooner to see your question about changing shaders. That's ok, I knew where to look. I just didn't know if I could just change the shader from the dropdown options or if I had to change more. Appareantly just the dropdown works fine. Thanks!
