Every time I open Sims 4 Studio, I'm met with this error message and I can't create anything. Any reason as to why this is?

Make sure your paths look like this, including the \ at the end. Then save the settings, close s4s and open again:

If this won’t help, try this:
1). Try running sims 4 studio as admin;
2). Add s4s to exceptions in your antivirus;
3). If you have a D drive on your computer, move s4s there, away from the C drive;
4). If you only have the c drive, you need to give s4s permission to do things. Follow the steps listed in the first and second replies here

Yes. I think I'm going to have to upgrade to a better computer soon. My computer won't really allow updates anymore and it's saying that my processor isn't compatible with the windows 11 update, either. My computer is around 15 years old at this point so I think it's time anyways.

You may want to try renaming or removing your game's SDX folder. Recent versions of Studio do load that, and that seems to be where your error is occurring. The SDX folder that Studio is trying to load is the "content" sub-folder in your "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" folder.

Oh my god! It worked! You are literally a life-saver. Thank you so so much! I really could not have done it without your help. I do still plan on upgrading my computer as it's quite old, but now I know that I don't have to upgrade as quickly as I thought! Again, thank you so much for your helpful reply.

Delete the whole "*\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\content" folder.

It's just the temporary SDX files in there that you can re-download manually or will be re-downloaded by the game automatically depending on your in-game settings so it's safe to delete.

If that doesn't work, might I suggest deleting your "*\Documents\Sims 4 Studio" folder and relaunching S4S so it gets refreshed? However, you might want to backup your "Batch Fixes" folder if you've done any Batch Fixes in the past BEFORE deleting.
