Hi
I am just starting and experimenting things with S4S. I have a project in mind, but I'm taking it step by step, hoping that by the end I'll be able to figure out how to combine the steps.
What I am currently trying to do is to add an interaction to the 'sectionalSofaPiece' tuning. I read the tutorial on this site, and I know I am supposed to modify the super_affordances list. But the thing is that this tuning does not have a complete list of super affordances - 'sectionalSofa' does instead. Is there some sort of inheritance between these two objects?
In detail, 'sectionalSofa' has a complete list of affordances, like many of the tutorials show, while 'sectionalSofaPiece' only has these 4
I am confused because some parts of the 'sectionalSofaPiece' xml are identical to 'sectionalSofa' - this suggests that there is no inheritance.
On the other hand, the 'sectionalSofaPiece' tuning barely has any super affordances, which means that they have to be defined somewhere else, and the 'sectionalSofa' tuning object seems like a reasonable place for that.
Maybe I'm totally wrong, and I don't need to use the 'sectionalSofaPiece' tuning, but that's the one containing a "dynamic_parts" definition, which I'm almost certain I need.
So, if anyone has a solution how to add an interaction to that "sub-class", I'd be very happy.
If it comes with an explanation of the relation between these two files, I'd be even happier :D
If you have some relevant reading material to point out, I'd be very glad too. Any help is welcome, thanks!
