On older versions I'd head to File -> Append but this doesn't work anymore as the append menu lists no objects of any kind. Is there any other way to transfer the poses I made in the newer version of Blender?

Hi. I've just checked and everything works as it used to. My guess is, s4s just exported nothing. Can you open the exported file in the supported version of s4s? If no, make sure blender path in s4s settings leads to the compatible version, then re-export the blend. If it does lead to the compatible version but you still cannot open the file, download 2.76b and change the path to it.

I managed to solve the issue by having instances of both versions of blender open and copy and pasting it over.
