I recently made a sink for a set and used this tutorial from this post here: sims4studio.com/thread/9566/problem-cutout-sink to add the cutout. Shortly after I completed this tutorial and tested it in game it worked. As well as making a cutout that fit my sink style. It worked. Now last night, I followed the same tutorial for another sink I've made. I went to test this in game and now neither cutouts for the sinks are working. Please help!

Firstly, this information applies only to that package. Plus, it's partially incorrect. Secondly, this information applies only to windows and doors. I followed this and came to the conclusion that cutout keys for sinks/ovens/dishwashers are encrypted in some other way. However, cutouts also work fine if the BaseFileNameHash is a texture instance. For some reason, non-BG sinks have two Cutout Info Table resources. And the second resource links to the cutout texture itself. | | First Cutout Info Table | Second Cutout Info Table |
Also, after adjusting the cutout to fit my new sink, it changed the cutout for my other sink I made previously to the one I just adjusted. So they are sharing a cutout even tho they are separate package files. Your cutout textures must have different instances or they will conflict. How to add a cutout texture to your package1. Follow this instruction. Or open Game File Cruiser, paste 39BF3CFFFF000E31, click All, click Add to current package. 2. Generate a new instance ( 1, 2). 3. Paste it into the Instance field of your cutout texture. 4. Cutout Info Table > Paste your instance into the BaseFileNameHash field. You can also add a new cutout resource instead of copying it. Go to the Warehouse, click Add. Type | DST Image | Group | 00000000 | Instance | //your generated instance |
