I'm working on a frankemesh and I'm trying to recreate the neckline of a top, but on the nude base. So I want to take the topography cuts shown here: And make those exact cuts on the nude top base. So far what I've done is copy and paste just the edges from the reference shirt onto the base, like so: Now I have this line of edges where I want the cuts to be, but they aren't incorporated into the underlying mesh, if that makes sense. How do I make it so that all the existing faces get cut where the line is? If I'm going about this all wrong, let me know. I run into this kind of thing when frankenmeshing a lot and I'm trying to figure out the cleanest way of doing things.

Hi. Select everything with A and Mesh - Faces - Weld edges into faces. Before you do that, though, with everything selected, do Mesh - Faces - Tris to quads, choose compare uvs. This will minimize the number of created vertices

Thank you for the reply! It worked, except for a few instances where more than one edge intersects. Is that to be expected, or did I do something wrong? Would fixing that simply entail joining those vertices manually? Example: Also, if I select "triangulate faces" when I'm done, will the mesh be as it was before without losing any smoothness? Are there any steps I should take before doing this?

Select everything with A and remove doubles If this won’t work, you can merge them individually or dissolve you do not need to triangulate the mesh, s4s does it itself
