Hi Everybody! I am new with Blender and I am trying to create some clothes for my male models so I started creating some pieces on Marvelous Designer and then imported in Blender 2.7.6. The advice I need is regarding weight paint. I want to know if there is a tutorial to learn how to do it manually and not transferring the weight from other cc because for some reason I am not sure that is going to work. (I've followed some tutorials from YT, but I am ends stuck). Here is the piece: Thanks for the help

Hi. Manually editing weights won’t really change much in this case. That’s just a very unfortunate choice of the garment to adapt to ts4 in general but especially to start your learning journey from. I don’t think you’ll even be able to adapt it to look good on any frame that differs from the default one because of the nature of morphing ( when the chest/stomach will become bigger, every strap will become thicker as well but only in that area, remaining thin in other areas). However, there are things you can do to improve the results (unless you’ve already done them): - if your garment is a top(joined with the body) instead of the accessory, select uv_0, enable sync, press B, click-and-drag to select all uvs of the garment, press P - Selection to separate (ignore the pic, this is where the sync button is); - expand rig and make top selectable(cursor button); - select the top, shift-select the garment, transfer weights with these exact settings, not the default ones; - select the garment, add data transfer modifier, add top as Source object, choose Nearest face interpolated, set the rest like in the pic, apply; - make sure the garment is vertex painted with 00ff00; - join it back with the body, if it was, save; - import in the package, check how it works in the game.

Hi, thanks for taking your time to give some advice. I totally agree that I've choseen the worst option to start with and in some time I thought about quit, but I get to far to give up.
I will try to follow the steps you recommended. Somehow, this piece seems to work more than an accessory, becayse the end result would be mixed with a blazer to make it more complex, but I will try to make it a top, merged with the body.
Once again, thank you.

You can use it as an accessory without the body attached. There will be no difference in how the mesh moves or morphs
