This is the first time I've had this issue or at least noticed this issue. My texture looked nice in Sims 4 Studio and photoshop but in-game looked really bad. I thought it had to do with my textures being HQ and my game not having the HQ mod, but as the standard size it looked the same, so I thought I'd try removing my script mods but once again looked the same. Then I just took off my sims skirt and suddenly it looked better? Then I tried taking off some other items and it didn't change till I took off her necklace and the texture looked how it's supposed to.
I put the top on a sim with no cc and no other clothing and cc, and the texture seems to get worse with certain CAS items. Not all bottoms affect it, but some do? I have no clue as to what I did with the top that this would be happening. The uvs are placed in the correct are so no textures should be overlapping.

Hi. Could you please link to any cc that is causing this problem when worn with your item? Do this experiment: - delete a shadow map from this item's package; - delete a shadow map from the package of the cc item that causes a problem; - pair them together in cas

So if you were to export the shadow map as png from any maxis outfit, you’d see that the white background exists only in places where the shadow exists, everything else is transparent. In your case, the whole background is flooded with white. The shadow maps work like Multiply blending mode in photoshop, except for, I guess, not as good. In photoshop the white color simply disappears, in ts4 case, it worsens the quality of the diffuse textures it overlay. The more times this happens (more items put on a sim), the worse it gets. So what you need to do is the same thing maxis does: add the white background only in places where the shadows exist, not everywhere. Aannnd you must do this in .dds format instead of png because the way s4s convert .png to .dds creates black lines that are then noticeable in-game. So do this: - open your shadow map, using the marquee tool select the areas where the shadow are like in the pic; - switch to channels and choose Save selection as channel; - save as .dds, choosing bc3 (newer versions) or dxt5 (older), enable Generate mipmaps
