I've been following the "Start to Finish Object Tutorial For Absolute Beginners - II'' This is the guide I'm making a custom counter and I've been able to follow the directions up to a point even though they're doing a normal cube. But now I've reached step 65 and I just cant wrap my head around how to follow it any further. I've uploaded the file so It's easier to see where I'm at and why I'm so stuck Here
I've looked for other posts and tutorials but I'm coming up dry of anything relevant

Hi. To get a better understanding of uv unwrapping you need to watch a beginner-oriented tutorial on uv mapping in blender (not ts4 specific). They usually start with visual representation on how uv unwrapping works which is a lot more useful than "it's like peeling a tangerine" that i can offer you in text After that, read this: When you have a repeating part of the mesh (a handle), you should unwrap it first, then duplicate. - in edit mode switch to vertex select, then disable Limit selection to visible. Press B, select one handle, press Remove doubles with Merge distance set to 0,0001. Then press P - Selection to separate it; - select the separated mesh, hide the counter, in edit mode select the whole handle with A, click on Clear seams; - select edges as in the picture, mark them as seams. Then deselect the "underlined" edge and Mesh - Edges - Edge split; - select everything again and click on Unwrap; - make the counter visible again. In 3d view press Shift D to duplicate the mesh, then X to move it horizontally. Move it until it covers the nearby handle. Do this two more times; - select the counter again, select the three handles, delete them; - join the handles with the counter, re-arrange the uvs - the bottom of the counter does not match btw
