hi there, i've been making recolors of an accessory top using recolor actions and noticed that some lighter swatches have these greenish boxes around it. i was wondering if it had something to do with the way i've been recoloring as a dds, using a program to convert to pngs, and then importing to sfs. i also think i remember seeing that saving as dds can have an item lose quality after a while and if that had something to do with it?

I have that too sometimes with some cc clothing. You can easily fix this by just paint over it with the same color of the shirt. That workes for me all the time. If not, just duplicate the shirt as a layer and then cut everything off again but leave the part where the issues are.
ETA: rereading your question, I forgot to add that I always export shirt textures in png and reimport as png cuz it's better quality. That might makes a difference. However, I still have those blocks sometimes and fix it like written above. There isn't really any fancy way of doing needed. Those blocks are mostly happen when the texture has thin edges close to transparent and when you duplicate that part, it gets better. At least for me in the way I do it

thank you so much for answering! it isn’t too much of a big deal to go in and just fix the swatches the way you said, but i wanted to be sure the squares weren’t because i was messing up somewhere 😅 especially since i don’t usually work with dds/don’t fully understand it lol!
thanks again!
