I got a new computer and downloaded s4s.... and uninstalled it and downloaded it again... and uninstalled it and downloaded an old version from my old computer....and uninstalled it again and redownloaded the current version.
I don't know how to explain the problem exactly. If I open sims 4 studio and click on "my cc" then select any object/cas item/build item, it doesn't show up in the blue space. The grid lines are also absent (yes, I have it set to be on). If I start zooming in, I see flickers of a few grid lines. Once I'm really close to the object, I'll see it but it looks like it's been put through the office shredder. If I get super close to the object, I might get an image uninterrupted, but it's sort of faded. If I keep zooming, the whole thing starts flickering in and out then disappears completely. The outer box for the grid is visible but flickers as you zoom in and out.
If I click on "stand alone recolor" "create 3d mesh" "create cas standalone" or anything else, I can see the item thumbnails in the list just fine, custom and game. However, when I've started a package file and gotten to the editing stage, the same thing happens in the studio tab (blue box) where the 3d image is supposed to appear. That little icon in the bottom right also doesn't show/flickers I can still edit meshes and textures and every thing else, I just can't preview the item. That said, one of the items I edited crashed the game when I clicked on it from the catalogue in game. Another caused the game to stop responding for a few seconds. Only what was edited on the new computer with the s4s problem was affected. All other custom content was fine. The original items worked fine.

Running a trial version of Norton Security
S4S works fine on my old Asus computer running windows 10 and using McAffe

I've done everything I can find in the other articles.
My computer specs are fine.
I've checked the paths.
I have the correct version of .net framework
I repaired my game
I've completed all game updates
I deleted the sims 4 studio folder from documents
I've restarted the computer
I went through the post about Norton, but mine doesn't have a CTI navigator or whatever so I didn't do that. I did add S4S to the exceptions.
I even waited a few days to see if it would just magically fix itself.
I've tried older versions of the program
I've erased the program from the computer completely and reinstalled it
I probably tried other things I don't even remember at this point.
I'm out of ideas. Nothing is fixing it.
I forgot my login info for my account, so I downloaded s4s without being logged in the first time? But I made a new account before downloading it again, so I don't think that's the issue.
