Hi! I've been creating objects for a month or two, using Blender 2.7, Photoshop and S4Studio (Btw: thanks for this simple and noob friendly software!) and for the first time, I m facing a weirdness I cannot understand, so here I am, seeking for help and advice.
I made a chair, and an rather OK uv map. I import my Uv, as a texture on the mesh, in S4Studio, as always (so I can verify my UV, and make sense of it on photoshop) and, it's Ok. It fit correctly. Then, I import a first texture (fitting said UV) and it all goes wrong. Nothing fit, island of colors are misplaced, streched... :(
I try several time, exporting the UV from S4S, re saving from Blender and it still don't fit. Where is the problem? I ve been trying to understand since yesterday where did I missed a step or did something wrong... Can anybody help me understand?
I can post Images or my package if needed.

Hi. Share the blend and package files please so that we could check how many uv maps the item has and if it aligns with textures

Your mesh and uvs are fine, but we need to see the colored texture since it is the one that is giving you the problem. My guess is that you might be mixing what uv island represent what part of the mesh, but would need to see the texture to confirm

The texture does not match the uvs. It seems that you exported the uv layout, then edited the placement of uvs, then did not re-export the layout - in UV editor enable sync (circled button); - in edit mode select everything with A, assign the texture as the background; - move the uvs or edit the texture

Hi again. I did try, and even re-unwrap, re save etc... And it's still a problem. It fit with the simple UV layout (as a texture) on the object in S4Studio but, as soon as I put a color under the UV map png in Photoshop, even a plain one in all the document, it doesn't. I will keep this project for later, when I have better skills (and probably fix what I can fix directly on Substance). And I thank you again for your help. Hoping to come again, victorious with my chair fixed as a lovely download

Hi! It's me again. The problem was Photoshop related and my way of working on the textures. I work on Photoshop all day (IRL, it's my job) and I can't believe I hadn't understood that sooner :D
