Have you deleted the localthumbcache.package in your sims 4 folder? This will update the thumbnails with a new cache file after you restart the game.

Yes, I've done that. It is still showing the original thumbnail.

Your thumbnails work perfectly. I just loaded up the hair in my game. Are you sure you've deleted the correct file? You need the one in Documents> Electronic Arts> The Sims 4> localthumbcache.package
Unrelated to the thumbnails, but if you plan on releasing this publicly you will need to fix the texture for your hair as there is a lot of skin showing on the ends on the hair sections. Two strands at the back appear to be missing parts of the mesh as well.

Okay, I finally got it to work. But deleting the localthumbcache.package wasn't what did it. I took out my mods, saves, and tray files and put them on the desktop. Then I deleted everything left in my Sims 4 folder and restarted the game. Next I put the file I've been working on in the mods folder. It now shows up with the correct thumbnail. Just sharing in case anyone else runs into this problem.
Yeah, the texture of this hair is really not cute. I'm still learning. I'll work on fixing the texture next.
Thanks for your help.
