Is there any way to save your image to your uv layout in blender?

Hi. What exactly are you trying to do? To set the image as the background in the uv editor? To include the image in the blend file so that it is not lost upon closing the file?

like this, for example. However, this should be explained in the start-to-finish tutorial, so if it was not, you should find a different one

The example explains how to bake a shadow which I know how to do. Just wanted to know if you know how to bake a picture to the UV so I don't have to use photoshop for the textures
