I want to riging the sim model myself. And I want to make poses and animations with those rigs and reflect them in the game. Is my wish feasible?

Hi. Yes, but you need to be more specific about what you're making to get a specific answer lol

Thank you for your reply . I will explain in detail . I usually use maya to create dance animations. The rig currently circulating in sims4 is a bit inconvenient for me. So i want to do my own riging. I removed all bones from sim rigs. But the model is not recognized as an object and does not become selected when I click on it. Is sim rig made with a different procedure than general riging?

Oh, no, you will not be able to completely replace the rig for CAS items, you can just add more bones. What you can do in retarget animation. Look up that word combination + Maya on YouTube for more detailed instructions

Oh, I see! I see a bit of the logic behind the rig animations being reflected ingame. Are you saying that you are RETARGETING the rig to the in-game rig?

Yeah, so you have a custom rig and a custom animation for it. This rig and ts4 rig are humanoid, so you can make one follow another, then ts4 rig will have the same animation.
Bear in mind that it may not be perfect, so I would advice to get used to ts4 rig, this will save you more time in the future

Thank you, thank you! Thanks to you I now understand how sims4studio's custom rig works.
